Emily's birthday part 6

We had games set up, which all of us enjoy and which added to the party atmosphere. We had five games!
Botchi ball, which is petanque by another name and, of course, being American the balls are much bigger and also much heavier. It is played in the same way as we play boules or petanque.
Throwing bean bags onto a board with a hole in it and gaining different scores.
Throwing bolas onto a stand and gaining different scores depending on where the bolas lands.
Beer pong, this was something the men played. Two people play one at end end of the table. Six cups of beer are set up in a triangular format at each end of a table and then you aim and throw a ping pong ball, if the ball lands in the cup then the other person drinks the beer.
Blowing a pack of cards off the top of a beer bottle, leaving only one card left on top of the bottle.
These games went on all day and into the evening until everyone went out to downtown Brainerd to the local dives - Shep's, The Blue Ox, Iron Rail Saloon, The Last Turn Saloon and Liquor Pigs.
